Jim had been trying to keep busy to keep his mind off what happened with Tim. For the rest of that day, he had sort of kept to himself, messing around and eventually finishing the crude version of red, blue, green, and yellow paints - the priest he had met while he had been looking for supplies had been right, you could make colors using flowers.

She was relaxed for once, having enjoyed a surprisingly pleasant dinner with Jim and Sunny, and smiled when she saw Jim already sprawled out on their bed. "You had a secret errand to run and you still beat me home. How do you do it, Mr Halpert?" she asked as she carefully piled her things onto the shelf.

"Guess you're just slow. It wasn't even a secret," he teased, then motioned toward the tuxedo. "What I went to get is folded over there by my stuff."
He nodded his head toward the magazines. "What's all that?"

She straightened her things, then took a peek at the folded up thing on the shelf. "Ooooh.. A tuxedo? Where did you manage to come by this? Surely the clothes box didn't give you something so... normal."
A spark of excitement started to build up somewhere inside her. For some reason, him getting a tuxedo seemed to trigger something in her. They were getting close.
"Hmmm..?" she asked, folding the tuxedo back up nicely and putting it back. "Oh." She blushed. "It's just some wedding magazines from the early nineties that the bookshelf gave me. Even though they're old, I figured it couldn't hurt to go through them."

He peeked down at the magazines and smiled, wrapping an arm around her waist.
"Couldn't hurt, you're right," he agreed. "If you want, I'll flip through them with you - it looks like you have a lot of them. Oh! Which reminds me, I talked to Jon a while ago, been meaning to talk to you about it."
Reply
"Sure. Sounds good," she agreed. "Yeah, and that was only about half of them, actually."
She turned to face him, giving him a slightly questioning look. "Oh?" She hoped it hadn't been about something bad.

"Yeah," he replied, looking up at her. "He said his father knows all about the ceremony. He was wondering if we wanted Ned to be the one to marry us. I told him he was welcome to ask, but I'd have to talk to you first. That's not really a decision I can make alone."

"We have a good chance. Susan and Jon can put in good words for us. I think it's a great idea too, personally. Not exactly what we'd get back home, but I actually think him marrying us might be just as good. Unique, too."

If the seeing the tux just five minutes ago had been cause for excitement, this was just adding to it. It seemed like everything was starting to really fall into place.

He wouldn't tell Pam about that, though. That was a surprise.
"Told you I'd have everything ready. You'll see, it'll all be set soon," he promised.

"Can you find me some pajamas, please?" she asked over her shoulder while unbuttoning her top.
Reply
"Boxers and a shirt," he said, walking over as she pulled off her top. He walked up behind her, leaning down to press a kiss against her bare shoulder before nudging her to turn around. "All yours."

Jim at least waited until she had everything on to playfully drag her onto the bed, letting her land on top of him.
"Whoops?" he said as he pressed a kiss against her cheek, grinning up at her.

"Hi."

He glanced over at his messenger bag, which was also on the bed with them.
"There might be something in there for you."
