Jim had been trying to keep busy to keep his mind off what happened with Tim. For the rest of that day, he had sort of kept to himself, messing around and eventually finishing the crude version of red, blue, green, and yellow paints - the priest he had met while he had been looking for supplies had been right, you could make colors using flowers. Pam wandered in, juggling a rather large stack of magazines and papers in her arms, reaching up every so often to prevent yet another from blowing off the stack and into the dirt.

She was relaxed for once, having enjoyed a surprisingly pleasant dinner with Jim and Sunny, and smiled when she saw Jim already sprawled out on their bed. "You had a secret errand to run and you still beat me home. How do you do it, Mr Halpert?" she asked as she carefully piled her things onto the shelf.

Jim smiled at the voice, sitting up. He raised a brow at all the things she had just put down.

"Guess you're just slow. It wasn't even a secret," he teased, then motioned toward the tuxedo. "What I went to get is folded over there by my stuff."

He nodded his head toward the magazines. "What's all that?"

"I'm not slow," she insisted, making a face. Though, she had stopped a few times on the way back to talk to some people.

She straightened her things, then took a peek at the folded up thing on the shelf. "Ooooh.. A tuxedo? Where did you manage to come by this? Surely the clothes box didn't give you something so... normal."

A spark of excitement started to build up somewhere inside her. For some reason, him getting a tuxedo seemed to trigger something in her. They were getting close.

"Hmmm..?" she asked, folding the tuxedo back up nicely and putting it back. "Oh." She blushed. "It's just some wedding magazines from the early nineties that the bookshelf gave me. Even though they're old, I figured it couldn't hurt to go through them."

"Lionel gave me his," he replied as he stood, walking over to Pam and kissing her cheek gently as she folded the tuxedo. "I just need to get a few adjustments done on it and that'll be what I'll wear to the wedding."

He peeked down at the magazines and smiled, wrapping an arm around her waist.

"Couldn't hurt, you're right," he agreed. "If you want, I'll flip through them with you - it looks like you have a lot of them. Oh! Which reminds me, I talked to Jon a while ago, been meaning to talk to you about it."

"Wow. That's really great of him," she said, tilting her head up towards him with a smile.

"Sure. Sounds good," she agreed. "Yeah, and that was only about half of them, actually."

She turned to face him, giving him a slightly questioning look. "Oh?" She hoped it hadn't been about something bad.

He picked up one of the magazines, flipping through it idly.

"Yeah," he replied, looking up at her. "He said his father knows all about the ceremony. He was wondering if we wanted Ned to be the one to marry us. I told him he was welcome to ask, but I'd have to talk to you first. That's not really a decision I can make alone."

Pam's eyes went a little wide in surprise and she placed a hand on Jim's, pausing his page flipping. "Really? Do you think he'd..? Wow. Oh, wow. That would be.. That'd be great," she said emphatically. "Like, seriously great."

He stopped when her hand was on top of his, grinning when he saw her reaction.

"We have a good chance. Susan and Jon can put in good words for us. I think it's a great idea too, personally. Not exactly what we'd get back home, but I actually think him marrying us might be just as good. Unique, too."

"Yes, absolutely. And, it'd be another thing we could cross off our lists," she added happily.

If the seeing the tux just five minutes ago had been cause for excitement, this was just adding to it. It seemed like everything was starting to really fall into place.

He could see the excitement etched across her features, and his face probably mirrored it. He had promised Pam a wedding by the end of next month and it looked like they were going to make it. All he had to do was talk to Sansa soon to see if he could convince her to make Pam a dress.

He wouldn't tell Pam about that, though. That was a surprise.

"Told you I'd have everything ready. You'll see, it'll all be set soon," he promised.

Pam beamed up at him, giving him a quick kiss before pulling away and starting to undress.

"Can you find me some pajamas, please?" she asked over her shoulder while unbuttoning her top.

Funny thing was, the minute he saw her undressing he had already begun walking over to grab things for her before she even asked. It was a nightly ritual; one Jim had gotten very used to. He would have been offput if she hadn't asked him to do it.

"Boxers and a shirt," he said, walking over as she pulled off her top. He walked up behind her, leaning down to press a kiss against her bare shoulder before nudging her to turn around. "All yours."

She turned around after he nudged her and smiled. "Thanks," she replied softly, not just referring to the clothes, then slipped on the shirt, doing up half the buttons before wiggling out of her skirt and tugging on the boxers.

He shrugged. "Don't mention it."

Jim at least waited until she had everything on to playfully drag her onto the bed, letting her land on top of him.

"Whoops?" he said as he pressed a kiss against her cheek, grinning up at her.

"Ooh-mmph." She toppled down on top of him, her hands landing on either side of him as she tried to push herself up again. "Dork," she teased him, then relaxed her arms, lightly dropping down to lie on top of him.

"Hi."

"That's why you love me," he stated matter-of-factly. "Well, that, and I get you gifts."

He glanced over at his messenger bag, which was also on the bed with them.

"There might be something in there for you."
