I'm back from Ron's, and have been for a couple days now.

Friday night was Addie's cocktail party. I met quite a few reasonably interesting people and even lined up a couple to add on Bookface. Needless to say, it being a cocktail party and whatnot, I drank enough that I ended up sleeping on her couch for a few hours before I bothered trying to drive home. Good times were had by all. Also: coffee + liquor = zomg.

Tonight, after work, I headed over to Robert's and hung out while he and DeWayne played the new Call of Duty. From there, I headed to Mike and Tori's and rocked some Guitar Hero 3.

On the way home, I remembered I needed batteries and cereal, so I stopped off at work. Not much to my surprise, Tierra was there and was the only cashier at the moment. I was pretty glad to see her in the first place; but once I got what I needed and she rang me up, we stopped and talked for a few minutes until another customer came. We've always gotten along pretty well, so it was pretty cool to be able to sit there and bs like that.

Before I left for Ron's, something got me working on my "From the Heart" playlist in iTunes again. In the process, I thought of "Head Over Feet" by Alanis Morissette, so I thought I'd try out the version from Jagged Little Pill Accoustic. I was really moved by it and it felt genuine, so on the list it went (since such things are the entire point of the playlist). It became the "song of the moment" as a direct result, and now it's finally built up to listening to the whole album. It's a damn fine album, if I do say so myself. It's a little jarring if you're conditioned to the original version of the album, but it's very, very good on its own merits. Listen to it or I'll accost your (future) children and do horrible things to them.

Good night.
