HTML masterclass (LMAO) with Jilly
OK this is predominantly for Bobbin, but I thought I'd make a post out of it in case anyone else wanted to use HTML. How to:
- Start using HTML in LiveJournal: Don't enter "rich text" mode. This auto-formats your entry so HTML will be ignored.
- Make text BOLD: type to start bold text and to end.
- Make text italic: type to start and to end.
- Make text underlined: to start and to end.
- Make text crossed-out: to start and to end.
- Change font (writing) colour: type to start red text, to start blue, etc. to end all writing, or to go back to black.
- Post a picture: first, you need to have your picture hosted on a picture-hosting site, e.g. http://tinypic.com: Select the file using "Browse", press "Host It" and wait for the following screen:
Highlight the entire text in the "Tag" box and press Ctrl+C together. Now, on the "Update Journal" screen, press Ctrl+V together, and the text you copied (
should appear. (Remember to enter a new line after posting a picture!)
- Post a link: type then what you want the link to say, e.g. George Bush Cartoon. Then type .
