She's tried numerous times to introduce herself, but every time she tried to transmit, all she got for her troubles was a burst of static. There's a glass of wine on the table in front of her.]
Now this is more like it. I'm all about Halloween, but I prefer the candy side of things. Or, if I'm going to go to a funhouse, I like knowing I can walk through it and come out the other side. Who wants to live in a funhouse? A haunted ship makes for a great theme party, but it gets old fast.
[Not that she's criticizing the Admiral, mind you. Only the rust and spooky voices and random ecological happenings? None of that was in the brochure.]
Silly me, here I am, babbling away and I haven't even introduced myself yet. My name is Jilly Kitzinger. I'm here to work as a warden. This isn't my first time at the rodeo, so to speak.
