let's do the real update dance!! wee!!

Let's see, what have I been up to? I'm sitting here among piles of Nick's stuff waiting to be unpacked. His lease ended yesterday so we're officially "living together" now. Eek! Actually, I'm much more excited about it than nervous- it will definitely be our biggest adventure. Work is going well, I've been transferred to Newton- which means less of a commute and a whole new staff for me. Some I could do without, but all in all, I'm much happier. One of my roommates is moving out in July and another in September so we'll be having some new people move in, which should be interesting if I decide to stay here for another year- the apartment is beautiful, relatively affordable and has parking, not exactly a common occurrence in the Boston area. The roommates seemed to have mellowed out too, they're not exactly about to start hosting lightsaber duels on the front lawn, but that's what I'm there for.
Hmm, what else... I've finished a great monk's robe for Ethan and am starting work on a surcoat for Nick to add to my completed costume list. I wouldn't call myself a master, but I'm really proud of the progress I've made when it comes to sewing. I still have lots to learn, so I'm just going to keep tackling projects until I learn them. Faire season is right around the corner and thought I won't be able to hit as many as I did last year due to work/finances, I can't wait to get back into it (even with all the drama involved).

That's about it- sorry for such a lackluster update- it's early, gray and humid, and I'm sun-burnt so it will have to do. :)
