Okay... this is now officially the most crazy social life with guys that I've ever had. I recall having a desire to have a close-guy companion, someone with similar interests as myself, enjoys similar things, and has similar opinions as mine own, though I do not object if any of these were not be not-so-similar. I had ONE young man in mind, remember? Shane? Well, now that the weekend has passed and there is a gap between journal entries, I now have THREE young men in mind and all of them are GREAT! Maybe the flock of young men has come because prom is coming up soon. Or maybe it is something else. So here goes about the three young men, all distinguished young men that any girl should be pleased to have a date with. (These are in NO specific order... or are they?)
1) As stated before, Shane. We both play piano and violin. He has taken a tangent on his violin to expand on "fiddle" (Yes there is a difference!) and also plays timpani in his school band. My other instrument is the clarinet. We both are in band, enjoy band, and hope to develop some kind of musical career in the future. I was brought up in piano to learn all the classical reportraire and so was he, yet he left that road and has now gone on to learn more Pop culture music. So in a way, we both come to appreciate each other's music. =) Unfortunately, he goes to school and lives in a town 30 minutes away with hills and windy roads, therefore during the snow season (which is now), I am unable to see him as often as I like. Yet each time is well-worth the trip.
2) Nick. Nick goes to the public school in the same town as me. He's exuberant, makes me laugh, confident in himself (but not arrogant), and a great spiritual leader. All of these are a plus. Shane is less of a spiritual leader, yet this could be caused that he is a PK and probably gets enough of it at home... my question is, how can you get "enough"? Anyway, back to Nick. Nick is also a triplet. Isn't that wild!? His sister is on my Bible bowl team and we are becoming great friends (so I have connections ;) Nick is a very talented actor and has even done plays in Little Rock. He also has a great voice. We are both auditioning for All-State this year, yet Shane fell short of even making All-Region because his judges said he sang too loud which should have been appealed... sigh... but back to Nick, again. The prodominant quality I noticed first about Nick was his large blue..maybe green..eyes and long eyelashes. We are good friends in the youth group, but otherwise that what I have just told you, I hardly know anything about him.
3) This young man just came onto the scene on Thursday. I know him through piano since we both take from the same professor yet he is far more brilliant than myself-->he's homeschooled and probably has more time to focus on his music than I--his piano playing is something to be admired, but that's a bit of a downside since I dislike competition. But I don't see Robert, that's his name, as a competitor but more so, a performance refiner. We both play in the classical arena yet outside music, I don't know much about him. He's courteous, soft-spoken, and kind to everyone. Downside=he doesn't like large crowds of people. >.<;; I love to meet new people that are loud and boisterous as I may sometimes be and sure, I admit to wanting quiet to myself at times, yet I hardly ever turn down the opportunity to meet new people.
That's all I can do for now, I may expound on this topic later.
