I recently subscribed to Bloglines, thanks to
buhrger who tipped me off on how it works. One of the sites I subscribe to feeds from is
The Unclutterer. Today, there was a post about some very cool internet sites that allow you to create reminders for yourself, integrating your cell phone, email, calendar applications, and to do lists. So I've checked it out... and it really is pretty cool so I thought I'd share.
IWantSandy allows you to send reminders to yourself via a single email address. You can set them for five minutes from now, or a specific date and time in the future, and what method of reminder you want (text to your phone or email)
Jott is similar, except you can use your phone, and their software will transcribe your 30 second recorded messag and send it to your email and phone. There are local numbers for most major Canadian cities, including Edmonton. Jott will also compose LJ posts if you link your LJ account, handy for traveler (and I'll try it when Boubabe and I are in Victoria). Jott will integrate with Google Calendar, Yahoo Groups and a number of other applications too numerous to name. You can also set up an address book so that you can "jott" other people from your phone.
So far, both are free.
Techno these days is amazing, isn't it?
