Again...more updating....all I do is update because I never remember that I have this livejournal thing.
Okay!
#1. Me: I graduated from Brockport with my Bachelors in Psych in December 2007. For my last semester I interned at the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester...amazing place...amazing people...amazing time! I was without a job from the middle of December until February 1st. I had a million resumes out and had an interview with Chase bank but nothing worked out. Finally, I got hired at a supplemental life insurance company. The process of being able to work there as a sales associate has taken about a month. I had to take a week long class, take a state test and pass it to become licensed to sell insurance, and then memorize their 10-15 page presentation. Hopefully I can begin training on March 3rd! When I called my Dad on February 1st to tell him that I finally got a job I ended up in the median of 390N after spinning around in the slush that covered the road...I think that's the scariest thing that has happened to me yet. I'm still nervous driving around on unplowed/cleared roads. Other things...I started a workout routine at the beginning of the year. I think I've lost at least 5 pounds and quite a few inches all around! I still have a lot more to go, but it's hard to keep on track and make myself go to the gym.
#2. CJ & Me: We moved in together in October. We are now in Rochester, AKA North Greece, Charlotte, Irondequoit. Shortly after we moved in we adopted the cutest little kittens, Thomas and Benjamin. They are now 8 months old and still growing. Thomas is extremely mischievous. He steals pens, chapstick, magnets, batteries, basically anything that he can fit in his mouth. I cleaned out under the refridgerator the other day and found 5/6 pens, 2 batteries, 2 chapsticks, one of his toys, and a bunch of fur. He also plays fetch with his toy mouse...all the time, and cries for no reason...all the time. Benjamin is very quiet and content to stretch out on your lap and have you scratch his belly. But he can be very sneaky. I still have my Beta fish from last year at school and he kept jumping on the counter and almost knocked the tank over. Needless to say, the fish is on top of the fridge like he has been banned to a far off place, until we can find him a safer home. Any way, CJ and I are doing great! We still fight and act retarded with each other, but we have a lot of fun! Our lease ends at the end of July and we're looking into moving back home. 45 minutes drive to see our families has been pretty crappy. So, we've been looking at townhouses and apartments from Victor to Canandaigua.
#3. The WEDDING!: It's still on, of course! But now it will be June 13, 2009. By then we should have all of our cards, my car and some of our student loans paid off. We shouldn't have to scrimp on anything! There will be much less hassle and a lot more fun!
#4. Family: Kiki is still as crazy as ever. She loves coming over for sleepovers and playing with the cats. She's in 3rd grade! She's skiing, swimming, playing soccer and now plays the violin. Rebekah is at home. She's living with Mom and has had a steady full time job at a day care in Victor. Mom is dating again...it's a little weird but the guy's nice. His name is Bob. Daddy Steve, Mom's dad, got married in September to a woman that he met online. She lived in Florida and they really hadn't been together very long. It was a big surprise for all of us. My Great Grandfather, Daddy Steve's Dad, passed away in October or November. He was almost 102 years old! The rest of Mom's family is great. Dad is fighting with Nancy all the time. He has been staying at my step sister's house (which they're trying to sell) and just bought a trailer. The boys are so tall! Jake is a junior, Jed a sophomore! Josh, my step brother, got married and had a son almost 2 years ago. Rebecca, my step sister, married the year before Josh and just had her first baby, Marshall Edward Allen, on the 20th of February! Nanny and Pop are doing well. Pop had some heart problems over the summer and had surgery to place a pacemaker. They are both having trouble with walking but are still very active! Hali is growing like a weed! She's a junior this year too! She hasn't been coming out for as long as I would like but at least I've been able to see her a little.
I think that's it...there's a lot there...and it will probably be quite a while til I'm back here again!
