Hrm...an Interesting Challenge...
I just had a weird and random idea spring to mind. Perhaps it's not unique, but it's something I want to try doing later. Maybe it could be turned into a meme at some point, who knows.
Anyway, let's see if anyone else wants to give this a go:
Go to either Google or Yahoo's homepage (or try it with both). Don't actually type or directly search for your blog/website, just start clicking links. If you use a "portal" page with all your links already there, avoid clicking them (because, what fun is that?). ;@ ) Random or "feeling lucky" links are okay, if you're just clicking them.
See how long it takes until you click enough relevant links to end up on your blog/website. It's much trickier than it sounds, but worth a try. Remember: No cheating by doing a search!
Just see how things turn out - if there's no hope of finding your blog/website, try clicking around for another site you frequent, or something like that. Let me know how many steps it takes to reach your destination, just out of curiosity, of course. You can list the actual links you clicked if you want, too. I'll try doing this later and will report my findings. I know there was once a time this wouldn't have been so hard to do (with the directory-type listings), but given the evolution of these "megasites" now, it's not so easy anymore!
