Download Firefox - Help Set a World Record!

Jun 17, 2008 11:02

Found this story via Time magazine's site...

So, apparently today is "Download Day" for Firefox and their newest release, and as of about an hour ago, they are encouraging people to download the browser today, in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for "most software downloaded in 24 hours".

So, er...if you use Firefox, or even if you don't, why not give it a try, and be a part of possible Intarweb history in the process! Good luck getting connected to the site, though...it's really bogged down. Obviously. Keep persisting, and maybe you'll get through, LOL. I personally think I'll hold off trying until later on today. @_@

While you're waiting to download Firefox, you should check out the link I was actually looking for when I surfed onto Time's site: Their list of the 50 Best Websites for 2008. (It's pretty interesting!)

teh internets, get involved, guinness world records, news, computers, squee 4 technology, nifty widgets
