*HAS A FEELING PHONE SYSTEM/NETWORK IS GOING TO GO HAYWIRE THIS WEEKEND*
(Why? Because the computer, mainly the 'net connection, is lagging like it tends to do right before the system goes wacky. Good thing it's a weekend!)
I'm not sure I'm going to remember to participate in this, as it seems, of all places, Seattle isn't getting involved (quite surprised there, actually) Edit: My bad,
apparently Seattle is participating as well, but I know people who are, and I thought I'd link to this, just in case anyone else was interested in it:
Earth Hour 2008 This is something the organizers are hoping to do from now on, and it's definitely an ambitious effort, and perhaps it will draw the appropriate attention to the issue of Global Warming. Some people claim the phenomenon isn't "real", but while it may seem it isn't, it actually is in a sense, as the Earth is actually still coming out of an Ice Age (which means, well, it IS warming up). I know, I saw it on TV. No really, I saw the series Planet Earth on the Discovery Channel, and it was very interesting! They explained it quite well.
Anyway, I have to get going, but I thought I'd mention the day (it's tomorrow, after all). I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! I just hope it stops SNOWING here...*GRUMBLES*
