No Random Drug Testing for Me...

Jun 15, 2007 09:48

...I just had a freshly-baked Lemon Poppyseed muffin (someone brought in muffins this morning, woo), so I dare say I wouldn't pass any drug tests that came my way. Not that I've ever had one or needed to have one, but if someone wanted to start, I'd probably fail. It was worth it, though! Mmmm. (I swear I've posted about this sort of thing before, and I'm sure I have, LOL. Oh well, so I'll do it again!)

I feel mostly better than the other day, but I'm trying to keep the crud out of my chest. With asthma, any illness can spell out trouble if it hits my lungs (the bronchial pneumonia I had back in August of 2000 literally almost killed me and left me in the hospital for like 4 days...that's the worst bout I've ever had). So, here's hoping the Mucinex I've been taking keeps things clear. I hate that I have to be so conscious of my health, but it's not like I've known any other life. Meh.

I need to catch up on comments and the like, and not to mention all the polling and things I've posted in the past few months that I need to follow-up on. I'm so bad at that once I get wrapped up in other stuff. ADHD will do that to a person, but hey, monotony and mundane routines kill me, so I have to keep busy. I just tend to get in over my head and spread myself too thin at times...oh well.

I do hope anyone that is celebrating Father's Day this weekend has a good one. I have to find something interesting to buy my Dad, I have a really cool card (that makes lawn mower sounds when opened), but I have no idea what to get him. He likes funny stuff; I did hear on the radio this morning that Dads tend to be more "funny card" kind of guys, while Moms seem to favour the more "sentimental" cards on their special day...I guess it makes sense. One of his nicknames he's had for years is Homer (as in Homer Simpson), so maybe I'll get him something related to that, as I tend to do on Christmas and his Birthday. My brother usually buys my parents DVDs they like, so I won't do that. I'd make him something, but being scatterbrained like I am, he'd probably lose whatever I made, LOL.

The weather sucks today, so I don't feel terribly ambitious as it is, but I guess I'd better get to working on stuff that needs it. I guess that's it from me for now...*SIGH*

holiday, sucky weather, teh sickies, shopping, family, work, comment catch-up, squee!food, feeling better, living with asthma, drugs are good
