Waiting for Daylight...

Dec 21, 2006 15:05

I just realized, today is the shortest day of the year! Eep. I'm actually happy about this, because it means from here on out, it will start getting lighter sooner again. This means the S.A.D. light's days are numbered until it goes back into "hibernation". Heh heh, that won't be until well into Spring, but hey, I'll take it! It might not seem like a big deal, but for someone as sensitive to seasonal changes as I am, it's all good. ^_^

After what has basically felt like "three seasons in one" just in the past month or so (Fall, Winter, Spring), this is a nice step towards progress. I figure Summer will be back by, oh, February at the rate we're going. Global Warming, baby, that's what it's all about. (Well, and the Hokey Pokey.)

I may be a little MIA in the next few days, obviously, but I'll stop in occasionally to read comments and posts when I can. So, in the meantime, everyone have a good one!

(P.S. - And for the record, I've already fulfilled my present wrapping obligations for today; all on a very full stomach and bladder! LOL. The lunch was excellent!)

HOLIDAY FUN! I had to edit this post to add a lovely link to some "Totally Twisted Tunes" courtesy of The Bob Rivers Show (which is like huge around these parts, and all kinds of awesomeness). I recommend the Christmas songs, especially 'Walking 'Round in Women's Underwear' (it's at the bottom of the page), but they're all funny. If you like "Weird" Al Yankovic, you'll LOVE these. He's got some hilarious non-Holiday tunes as well.
