A "Special Invite" from the "Admin Office" for ME?

Oct 17, 2006 14:09

I don't normally point out the utterly silly Spam E-mails I get (no real point in doing that), but I do save the doozies that give me the LOLs.

And hey, I just got one I *have* to share, because it's so funny, almost enough to ask them "what's in it for ME?" You know, for shits and giggles. I've seen news reporters actually investigate such "fake" Universities/Diploma Mills like this before, so don't worry, I know it's not for real, even though some apparently don't know that, sadly. @_@

Anyhoo, here's the E-mail:

*Education awarded on life and past work experience.

Special attention should be paid to that little asterisk; if that's the case, well then, based on my combined life and work experience, they'd better cough up my Ph.D in Abnormal Psychology! I'm pretty sure I've more than earned it. ;@ )

I'm guessing they don't offer degrees in English, however, given their poor use of punctuation and spelling. Such a shame; I wanted a Double Major! Guess I'll have to apply elsewhere. Perhaps when I go for my Masters in Linguistics, with a Minor in the Internets. ^_^

So, how about it, folks? What have YOU earned your degrees in? (That is, based on their special "requirements".) I'm dying to find out; maybe if we all enroll together, we can "Graduate" at the same time! LOL...

amusements, teh internets, education, hysterical spam e-mails, lollerskates
