When I got this E-mail from Amazon.com yesterday, I knew it seemed a little off; I thought "gee, before the game's even been played, they've already got UCLA as the winner here?!?!? (Well, aside from the image, the message header, body and subject line just had the [placeholder] bit that went with it.) Then I thought, "I wonder what would happen if they LOST?" How embarrassing!
And sure enough...UCLA lost. And not only did they just lose, they lost BADLY! (And absolutely NOBODY in our office pool had a team in the Final, so it was the guy who had the most teams left in the Semi-final who won the money, LOL. I was out well over a week ago.)
What's funny is that this made the news last night. I was like LOLing, because I GOT the message, and I just had to share the screen cap I took of the message (I NEVER delete anything LOL-worthy for these very sorts of reasons). Now I'm glad I did!
Do I get a refund or voucher or freebies for this, Amazon? LOL...not that I ordered anything NCAA-related, but hey...they've got an image to uphold! (Although not THAT one!) Somebody must be feeling REALLY stupid today, and how can anyone live that down? ^_~
