I always knew socks were an important part of our lives (even if they are slightly overrated in terms of wearability), but hey, now you KNOW they are taking over the planet when you have two back-to-back SOX wins in the World Series! (Red in 2004, and now White in 2005.) This is further proof that yes, you really CAN sweep with socks. (For all you cleaning-phobic folks out there, this is a glimmer of hope!)

Also, a pantload of thanks to Freddy Garcia for playing the game of his life AFTER being a Mariner. How many former M's have done that now (let's see, there was Randy Johnson, and I'm sure others)? And when will the Mariners catch a break again? LOL...how I kid. Course, I'm only a *very* closet baseball fan, and that's only because I have to talk about *something* my Dad can relate to at lunch and to/from work. He'd be SO proud if he could read this post. 0_o
