All sorts of blurbs today:
*It's that time of the year again - Seafair! The Blue Angels are out flying today, and since we're not far from Boeing Field (where they keep the planes), can hear 'em taking off. Neato airplaney roars and such can be heard all around. VERY COOL.
I don't do much in terms of Seafair activities, other than what's on TV (like the Torchlight Parade, which was this past weekend, and the Hydroplane races, which are this weekend), but it's something I have fondly recalled since childhood. ^_^ As a kid, it also meant the start of school was just around the corner. Course, it also means the end of Summer is fast approaching. :@ (
*And life is GOOD today, thanks to 24-Hour "Fast Melt" Claritin tabs (they are pretty gross tasting, but do melt quickly). Yay for no allergies! (Well, at least, less allergies - my head still feels creepy.)
*It's supposed to get to 90 degrees again today. YOW. Someone turn down the heat - 75 will do me just fine! And nix the humidity, please!
*Those darn Labour & Industries people are here again today...have to keep with the accident investigation from last week. But there is good news; Don is in his own room now, and able to stand up for short periods, and walk a little. His spirits are a bit better, but he's still in a lot of pain, and has limited right arm movement still. A long road ahead, but still VERY lucky to be alive. His wife is keeping us updated via E-mail for now; he still isn't ready for visitors, which is a bit frustrating for my Dad, who would like to see him. All in good time, I guess.
*My bestestest friend ashjulall will be in town starting tomorrow night! Yay! She's only bringing one of her kids along (Allen, who is 3), but it will be loads of fun! I'm going to have to visit the entire lot of 'em later this Fall, possibly; I can't very well not see my favourite 7 & 8 year olds!
I guess that's about it for now...got work to do, d'oh!
