[1] Total number of films I own on DVD/video:
hmmm, probably around 30
[2] The last film I bought:
it might have been office space- that is a funny movie
[3] The last film I watched: big fish- mostly i was disappointed, but i *loved* the scene with the son telling his dad the story in the hospital- i just bawled
In the theater: the girl from monday- a reall cool, surreal indy sci-fi we saw at the nw film forum down the street
[4] Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me:
Kissing Jessica Stein- i love this movie and never get tired of it- i love the way they portray new york and their relationship is awesome, not to mention it is hysterical. also, not to mention it's about 2 people trying to evolve and live their best life and they are open to something completely new and different to achieve that end, and the 2 women who star in it wrote and directed it as well, first as a play, then as the movie- i love seeing indepedent, talented women succeed
Spirited Away- Japanese anime- the levels of creativity in this movie are mindboggling and breathtaking
Life is Beautiful- just saw this movie again recently- that man is a genius- there's nothing quite like laughing through your tears
Sirens- gorgeous naked women, intelligent debate, sensual sex scenes, w/ just a hint of fantasy
Labyrinth- i loved this kind of fantasy flick when i was a kid- sarah and i watched this so many times- we had the soundtrack and we used to choreograph recitals in our family room to it- david bowie freakin' rocks in this movie
