(no subject)
Ok, it's official. Alex, you are addicted to live journal. lol I know I can ALWAYS count on you to have updated, so I'm never bored when I come on here.
Anyway, so far, summer is GREAT. I haven't done much, but that doesn't matter. The point is, I haven't been in SCHOOL w/ all the DRAMA. Right now, I just have small dramas w/ my parents. Oh, and there was some drama at school on Thursday. But that was band drama, and it is to be expected. And I kinda caused it... oops. But if Murray weren't such a JERK we wouldn't have the problem in the first place. I went to the school twice this week. The first day we worked HARD. Seriously, we destroyed the cubbies b/c they were crap anyway. And believe me when I say that was a LOT of wood that we had to clean up. And MS. TYRE (that is what we shall have to call her now) did some serious cleaning. She vaccumed EVERYTHING. I love her, I'm glad we finally have a WOMAN in this band program. Morgan and I finally settled on a uniform. I'm still not happy w/ my gloves, but it'll be okay I guess. Thursday was our planning day. That was... discouraging. For me anyway. B/c they sat there and talked about all of the past leadership who have cleaned the bandroom and done ALL of this stuff for the band. Yeah, too bad nobody seemed to notice whenever I did it. B/c I did. I busted my butt after every rehearsal picking up trash (some of which belonged to the DIRECTORS), putting away stands... I'm sorry that I didn't have time to SWEEP the room every single night. Maybe if I hadn't been the only one cleaning up it wouldn't have taken me until 8:00 to finish just those few things. Then I would have had time to sweep. But no, the band captain was always in the office talking to somebody. The brass captain stood right there and WAITED on me to finish cleaning so we could leave together. My partner in crime (Schmidt) did help occasionally, but his parents made him come home after rehearsal. And while I'm at it, lets add all the work I did for jazz night. Or cleaning the brass room and the uniform room while the rest of them were away at DISNEY WORLD. Or how about all the times I've cleaned off those tables and organized music into score order (which is a MAJOR pain in the butt, by the way). Yeah, I've done a lot for that band. But do you know what they notice? They notice when I DON'T help. For example, graduation. Now I'm sorry, but I've done your dirty work all year, and gotten absolutely NO appreciation for it (as seen at the band banquet, when LIZZY got the service award). Nothing against Liz or anything, but I know I did more this year than she did. I did more than a lot of people. And I feel like I wasted my time, b/c the directors, and even the rest of band, don't realize how much WORK I have put into this.
Oh wow, that was a lot of writing. Anyway, happier note. We went to Tyler's house after we ate lunch on Thursday. I SO didn't know he had a pool. But once I found out... hehe We're eating lunch at Tyler's house this Wednesday and then we're going SWIMMING. lol I can't wait. So I really think things will work out for Morgan and I this year. We really get along. Sometimes I get the impression that she doesn't like me, but I don't think she DISLIKES me. I dunno, it's weird. The IMPORTANT thing is that we can work together. So far, anyway. And we are getting a lot of help this year. Ms. Tyre is there JUST for us. Which is good...
I want to go to the BEACH. We're going to Clark Hill in 2 weeks. I'm kinda looking forward to that, but then not. It's always fun, but I don't know if I can handle a whole week w/ my family. I spend too much time w/ them now. So we'll see.
