I got lots of things today. :)
My Mom convinced me to not worry about follow-ups today (I was so determined to get a job today!), because today is probably the first chance they would have to review my application. So, instead I headed to the mall to look for pants. (See earlier post.)
I was bad. Somehow money is just everpresent in my account right now. I guess living at home really is a good thing. Even after I paid my car note, I've still got money. And gift certificates. Anyhow, I bought two new pairs. Black to replace the sadly shrunken pair, and grey. And a new shirt. But it was on sale. And it goes with my suit. And it looks really good on me.
Yes, I got a few huffy remarks about calling myself fat the other day. I would like to state, that although I do not think myself fat in any means, I was still TOO big for that skirt. This was abated last night however with leg pilates. That stuff is awesome. My ass looks divine in my new grey slacks! ;)
After I left the mall I decided to go over to my favorite little dance shop, just on the chance that they hiring. I got a job! Not only did she hire me on the spot, but she was already talking about making me manager after I'm done with my training. Training will take a while because I have to learn how to fit pointe shoes, but I'm really excited. And she seemed excited too. How wonderful!
Tomorrow I'm going to work on handing in my substitute application and hopefully the Alley will call me, and then I'll be all set. My mother thinks I'm crazy (rolls eyes) because I don't need three jobs. But all of my jobs are hobbies! And only two of them pay. And I am trying to save money for grad school. So hmph. I'm not going to stay home all day and watch Regis and Kelly with you.
Anyways, so I get home and find two packages waiting for me. I got a beautiful box from one of my Great Aunts for graduation, with some bath soaps and lotion inside. Really, really nice. And I got my mega-shipment in from Victoria's Secret. Five new bras, evelen new pairs of panties, including my matching bra and panty set in gold shimmer, and a new cami.
Yay for capitalism.
