We tromp on monuments

Spring Break was amazing! I am so glad that I did all that travelling, it was well worth it!

I left Cleveland for Rochester last Thursday night (to beat the impending blizzard) and made it to my parents by about 9. It was boring at home- Dad was sleeping mom was sick. Friday morning I got my hair cut, went for a walk with Gram, went out to Lunch with Wendi, Dinner and a movie with Chris (the bank job- it was so-so). Saturday morning I went to Leicester to visit Megan, Bridgitte and Carl. They all seem to be doing well, I hadnt seen any of them since Christmas and I feel bad never visiting since Bridgitte is my goddaughter. Shes 3 1/2 now, unbelieveable! I more or less babysat while Megan and Carl fought, which i didnt mind, but i definetly turned down the dinner invitation. I was supposed to go shopping to buy a business suit, but the weather was crap and rumor had it that my dad didnt want me out running the roads- so instead we went together! While it did hamper my shopping experience, it was nice to chill with my dad- we hit up pizza hut afterwards. Sunday was my day of adventure with Laura and Marissa. It was pretty much amazing. We had lunch at Camilles, went to the new and improved record archive, checked out parkleigh, went to the COnservatory (which i never knew existed) went to the dollar theatre (saw enchanted) and then went to Marissa's and watched Sydney White and made Cinnamon buns. It was a really good day. Monday I had an interview at the Livingston County Courthouse for the Surrogates Court. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. THEN i left for part 2 of my adventure.

Part II- Albany

I met Ryan in Syracuse for Dinner, it was good to catch up! I hadnt seen him since Beckys Wedding in June, which will be the case with most of the people in Part II. I made it to Danah's Dorm room in Albany around 10ish. We just chilled, I bugged her while she did some schoolwork. Tuesday Danah and I went to the mall and another excursion to pizza hut, she went to class and I went out with Dan. He and I went to another mall out of lack of things to do, then watched a Yankees preseason game at his place, went to see Jeff (my old RA) and then called it a night. Wednesday I met Chuck at SUNY for lunch, saw Bryan at the RACC and visited Donna (my former work study boss). Then Danah and I went to the Riverrats hockey game (compliments of Dan- who worked for the team until this week). Danah and I won fans of the game- again compliments of Dan- it was embarrasing but she got some good Gift Certificates's out of it. Afterwards I met up with Chuck, Allison and Bryan at WT's where it was karaoke night. It was pretty much amazing. The boys and I did a rendition of Sweet Caroline. It was very memorable. Thursday Jeff and I went out to Lunch and then I departed for Part III of my Roadtrip.

Part III- Poughkeepsie

I visited Kristen in Poughkeepsie and stayed at her house. nothing really exciting happened, but it was good to see her. Kristen, her twin Kelly, and their friend and I went to dinner and then hung out at the mall a little bit. Then we went back to her place and watched Knocked Up. She has pretty much the nicest/friendliest dog ever. Then next morning we went to breakfast and then I left for Part IV of my journey.

Part IV- Washington DC

I loved DC. Becky and Jesse have a really nice apartment and were very accomadating. Ive missed Becky so much!! Their wedding pics are so awesome, I cant beleive I hadnt seen her and jesse since the wedding! We BBQ'd Friday night then Saturday Becky and I went to DC and saw all the cool monuments. (check out some pics on FB) But maybe the best part of the day was- WE SAW BEN AFFLECK!! we walked right through the movie set. He was filming "State of Play" right outside of the EPA. We looked it up when we got back to her apartment, its a political thriller, i cant even wait until it comes out. Other than that we saw the washington monument, lincoln memorial, veterans memorials, capitol hill, Supreme Court, and the White House. Then Becky took me to Georgetown to show me her place of misery. It was collegiate to the extreme, if you ignored all the st pattys day party goers. We had grand plans for more adventure, but we were exhausted. We went back to her place and just hung out until I left Sunday afternoon.

Part V- the Long Ride Home

It was a really boring ride. So let me just say it was a very successful trip- i never got lost, nothing broke, and I fell in love with my friends all over again. I cant wait to do it again next year!

Congrats if you made it to the end!
