Yet another "you cant get there from here"
Hellooo LJ! its been awhile since there has been a public post, but now that I'm so out of touch with everyone, it seems that a recurrence was necessary. Cleveland is good, its my kind of city, not too intense at all. Very doable- a lot of homeless though, which is depressing to see that the city doesnt take better care of their homeless, but its a fact of life I guess. I live just barely within the city limits, so its a good mix of suburban people with the convenience of the city "stuff". This being said, i havent taken much time to explore at all-not only do I not have the time really but everything is under construction, which is a burden I dont like to deal with. Thankfully public transport here is everywhere and Im checking into that slowly but surely.
School is better than I had expected. Classes arent too bad, every once in a while I start to feel very overwhelmed, but then i take a falafel break and move on again. I started out the semester as a social butterfly, but now im leaving that behind, not really my thing. I have a couple people that I hang out with pretty much all the time, and thats good enough for me.
Dan, my friend from SUNY came up to visit the weekend before last, amazing is really all i have to say about that. So good that he might be back this weekend, of course its to see the yankess play the indians but, ill take what i can get, its a long drive between NYC and cleveland. But thats a BIG might.
More to come later, i need to read about crazy shooters on subway trains... yeah about that public transportation...
