Not everyone has the courage to confess.
“How many chocolates have you received last year?” Hayato asked while trying to aim the second billiard ball.
“I really don’t remember, maybe fifty or more,” Ryu answered.
Hayato looked up to where Ryu’s standing and said to himself, “I wish I was one of them”. “Ah… have you returned the favor?” he asked, before he turned his gaze back at aiming the second billiard ball.
“Nope. You know me Hayato, I won’t do such a thing,” Ryu answered nonchalantly. “Because I’m waiting for you, Hayato,” He placed a bitter smile on his face. “Still and will ever be”.
Not every confession receives a sweet and positive answer, yes.
Ryu was walking on along the corridor when he saw Hayato talking to a girl. He saw them being sweet and such that it made him feel jealous. “How long could I still keep this feeling?”
Ryu traces back his way to classroom. Not long enough, Hayato came greeted by Hyuuga, Take and Tsucchi.
“So how was it?” Hyuuga asked while giggling with the other two.
“How was what?” Hayato asked back.
“The confession,” Take said.
“Ah… the girl. Well, I dumped her,” Hayato answered bluntly. “Because I won’t accept any confession, except from Ryu”.
Not all people who love each other will end up being together.
Seven years had passed. Ryu is now working in a company that is being run by his uncle. He and Hayato had separated their ways after their high school graduation. After that, he didn’t hear any news about him. But the only thing he knows until now is that, he still have feelings for the older man. “Do you have someone in your heart, now?”
Hayato is an architect. He pursue his studies after he graduated in high school. It’s not that he really likes it, but it’s a way for him to keep up from Ryu’s standards, since the young man studied abroad. He wants to be suitable for Ryu, even though he knows that they won’t be together. “Have you thought of me, even once?”
And not every love story will end up happily.
“You know Ryu. I used to love someone before,” Hayato suddenly confessed out of the blue as he starts to feel lightheaded because of the strong liquor. It was their class reunion.
“Really?” Ryu asked, feeling that the liquor had spread throughout his body.
“Yeah, and you know what… I still love him,” Hayato said. Ryu felt a pang in his heart but he tried to hide the pain.
“I see, you know I also love someone before,” It’s now, Ryu's turn to confess.
“Do you still love him now?” It hurts to ask but Hayato have too.
“Yeah, but I know we can never be” Sadness is very visible in Ryu’s eyes.
“Why?” Hayato asked, afraid of knowing the reason.
“Because… because I’m getting married”.
