(no subject)
So, I can't remember the last time I updated. I know it's been a little while...
The internet is still not fixed at my house...oh-well. That's why Computer Lab's are handy! haha
So, I had a good weekend! I went to New Orleans and got to see Franklin Graham speak. He's Billy Graham's son. It was really good. I thought Bill Graham was going to be there, too. He was, he just didn't speak. He was scheduled to speak the next night and I couldn't find anyone to go with me, so I had to miss it. I missed seeing him, George Beverly Shea, and Cliff Barrows. I was sad, but there was nothing I could do. I sang at church Sunday. It went well.
Last night we had our vocal soiree at school. It went good! I had to sing last, but, that's alright. I'd rather go last than first! haha. Everyone seems to have enjoyed it, so, that's a good thing. I sang "If I Loved You" from the movie Carousel. It's by Rogers and Hammerstein. It's a pretty song.
An old man, I don't know who he was, came up to be after it was over and shook my hand and told me I did a nice job. He said "That voice is gonna take you far. What are you planning to do with it?" I told him I was a music education major and he said "Education? What are you gonna do with that?" I said "Um...teach." He looked at me and said "What a waste of talent!" and walked away. I didn't really know what to say so I said thanks. haha. I don't know...even if something happens and I am blessed with a career of just singing, I'll at least have this to fall back on. Besides, music education is so important..I'm looking forward to it!!

I'm going to Nashville in July to the Stamps Baxter School of Music. I'm so excited! I'll be gone July 17th-28th!! Yay!
