So, I decided to keep that math class. I went today and understood what was going on, so, we'll see how long that lasts. I also went to talk to Mrs. Anderson in the computer lab, who helps tutor math students...she knew my mom a long time ago when they use to sell insurance together. Anyway...I feel better about the class and that's a good thing.
Tomorrow around lunch time, Perk Players are leaving to go to Starkville for some kind of Drama Festival. We have to perform our skit that we've been working on to do at the schools to tour at. It's a cute play. It would be cuter if everyone knew what was going on all the time (mainly me! lol). We aren't suppose to get back till some time Sunday. I hope we all have a good time! I'm sure we will though.
We started working on our State Choir Festival stuff in choir (duh!..where else??). A lot of people joined choir this semester. We have a TON on altos! We also have more soprano's but we aren't that strong of a section. I think maybe cause we don't know the song?? I hope that's the reason! I'm a strong soprano, but I don't like to over power everyone else and stick out...oh-well. The same thing happened last year, but by the end, everyone sounded good! And when we get together with the other campuses, it'll sound great!! (Keri, have y'all started working on music?? I think we are doing like 4 songs for the tri-campus choir...and we started working on one of the mass choir pieces...it talks about stars (i don't remember the name of it. it has a black and white picture on a moon on it). Anyway...can't wait to see you there!!)
Well, I have to go to rehearsal in a bit, so I need to get off here! Midsummer Night's Dream is going great! There have been a couple of cast changes, but it's still going to be good! I hope everyone comes to see it! It opens February 14th (Valentine's Day) and plays through the 17th. I'm not sure how much admission is, but I'm sure not more that like $5-$10. Also, The Oral Interpretation class that meets on Monday night is going to start working on a play about Hurricane Katrina that we are going to write ourselves...that show is going to start at the end of the semester. I think it'll be good, too. Might be a little sad, but, I think it'll be good!
Well, I know this was a pretty long posts...if you're still reading, you must be pretty bored! Sorry if I rambled too much! I tend to do that sometimes!!
Hope all is well where you are! Pray for a safe trip to Starkville and back!
Love, Jill
PS: Please wish us some luck when we perform up there! We need all the help we can get! LOL
PS: Please pray for my nephews! They are both sick with some kind of virus. They have been vomiting and had diarrhea! (sorry, I tried to think of a better word to put, but couldn't think of one!)
