I should check this thing more often
I think I may be falling out of the LJ stage of my life. Becoming a real person or something. Admittedly, it had become a little boring. Although I can't believe my last post was almost a month ago. That time seems to have flown by. But I'm bored at work right now so I thought I'd fill this out.
You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes. Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! 3. Location: Bloomington, Indiana
4. Occupation: chemist? lab assistant? I work for the geochemistry section of the Indiana Geological Survey here at Indiana University. I collect field samples from abandoned mine lands and then run tests on them to see how remediation efforts are going.
5. Partner: Seth :)
6. Kids: None.
7. Brothers/Sisters: I have a younger sister Angela, who is still in North Carolina. I miss her a lot.
8. Pets: My Polly dog. She's a 90 pound monster lab.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
1) Buying a house... closing July 8th hopefully
2) Trying to get my boyfriend to propose to me. Soon, apparently, but I think his definition of soon is different than mine.
3) I would like a better job. Or for this one to give me benefits. I think my boss's definition of soon is the same as Seth's.
10. Where and for what did you go to school for: I graduated from Highland School of Technology in 2003. I went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated in May 2007 with a BS in chemistry. I would like to get my teaching license to teach high school chemistry.
11. Parents? I have them. Mom and Dad still married and live in Dallas, NC.
12. Who are some of your closest friends? my college roommate Amanda Rose, my sister Angela. I also consider Kate, Ashley, Amanda T, Austin, and Chris to be good friends.
