Even when she'd been younger, Jill had never been much of a date person. She'd dated, of course, but it had always seemed easier not to define things and, even when things had been defined, dating had all but ceased. So it was a little strange that she and Rodney were halfway through what passed for a date on the island. Strange, but not bad.
"How did you go on dates on Atlantis?" she asked suddenly, impressed that he'd willingly found a place near the mountain where the view of the sunset was amazing. He'd even climbed up a few rocks without protesting too much. "It couldn't have been much easier there than it is here."
And it wasn't particularly easy on the island. There were only so many picnics one could go on before it got a little monotonous. Even so, going on a date with Rodney was never boring. It was a little alarming sometimes, how easy he still was to be around.
