TF2: Revenge of the Fallen
I finally got around to watching TF2: Revenge of the Fallen last weekend when the boyfriend-creature bought the Blue-Ray (Colin: "I got the VERY LAST steel case - Squee!"). It was a pulse-pounding, fast-action movie with lots and LOTS of explosions, like you'd expect from a Micheal Bay movie. On the latter in particular he doesn't disappoint.

- Grouchy!English Dude!Jetfire - awww, why couldn't we have more screen time with him?!
- Simmons somehow managing to become awesome in between the two movies. I laughed my ass off at the scene in the deli.
- The Beast Wars references
- The scene near the end with Sam and his parents was pretty heart-wrenching and frankly maybe some of the best acting in the whole movie.
- Am I the only one who actually liked Leo?!
- The battles between the 'Bots and the 'Cons were actually pretty sweet-looking
- Devastator's balls (I'm serious)
Things that sucked:
- Coherent plot? What plot?!
- The lack of character development and screen-time for pretty much everyone except Optimus and Bumblebee
- Those frickin' twins. Can we say 'insulting racial stereotype'? I get that Michael Bay meant for them to be taken as white guys trying to act like they were black, but frankly in the movie it's hard to tell the difference. Maybe if they were painted white or something people might actually get it. Either way they were annoying and useless as all hell. I freely admit that the G1 twins, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, aren't my favorite characters but I'd soooo much rather have them in the movie than Skids and Mudflap.
- The Fallen being taken down so easily. Cow-tipping much?
- "GIVE ME YOUR FACE!!!" - yeah, enough said. Hire a better script-writer next time.
