So not only am I confident that Diana Wynne Jones is not from this dimension, I'm reasonably sure she's fucking around with time, too. :O

I haven't read all of her (hundreds and thousands and milllions) of books, but I've seen lists of them in her newer books, and checked off the ones I HAVE read. I'd thought I'd least heard of all her books. ( Read more... )

...I can see it. And oh man, does that ever make me want to re-read L'Engle's books.

To borrow a phrase from my friend Tawny, true story. The only Dianna Wynne Jones book I've read is Howl's Moving Castle, though please don't shoot me.

OH MAN Lyzz you have no idea. I strongly urge you to read....uhm. The Lives of Christopher Chant, Conrad's Fate and A Charmed Life, in that order. Also Deep Secret (because it's about a Sci-fi convention that is basically a cover up for interdimesional friend reunion INCLUDING A CHARACTER WHO MAKES A LIVING AS AN AUTHOR IN ANOTHER WORLD) and Dogstar, cus it's just plain good.

I'm surrently reading A Tale of Time City, about, surprise! time travel.

And I totally would! ...If I had money and/or a halfway decent library. One of these days, though, I'm just going to camp out in Books-A-Million with a stack of books piled up to my head. For like two days.

I just spent what is probably the last of my allowance money for a while on The Battle of the Labyrinth. :D;;

Bookstores, for some reason, do not seem to be capable of carrying DWJ books. But you can get them at most libraries, and I urge you to FIND a decent library, because Libraries are mankind's second greatest invention. Second only to the book.

Ha. Yeah right. We're the biggest town for miles and our library's still crap. Fortunately, in about 4 months, I'll be going to college in Nashville, which will almost certainly have at least a decent library.

You know, a lot of libraries can have books sent to your local library from another one if they don't have what you're looking for. They can be really amazing like that. BUT I'LL SHUT UP NOW I'm just trying to get you to read these awesome books. XD

I don't seem to have a Sokka icon anymore, s-sob.
