ETA: Have I mentioned how much I adore
this comic? HAVE I?? (Garth is a total fanboy, y/y?)
So today was the day of spending gift cards. I went to the post office to pic up my last bit of mail from CMS: a $100 gas card I got as a sales reward, so now I have gas in my car for a while. I had lunch at Applebee's and polished off the gift card I got for Valentine's day, and I went to Borders.
While at Border's I sat and read volumes 3 and 4 of Bizenghast (which is AWESOME and HILARIOUS and do not be fooled by the gothic lolita cover art, it's a very good read and I very much recommend it, if only for Edaniel propositioning Vincent for a make out session while accusing everyone of communism.)
I also spied this really great bargain book for "designers references" or something like that, which is essentially this huge fat-ass book full of lineart of generic floral patterns, art nouveau swirlies, egyptian patterns and thing that would essentially make CG art pretty when I am feeling lazy. I may have to go back and get it.
Also: I found this little Meet the Robinsons picture book ("Who wants some pizza?") I had passed before but never stopped to open. It's just a cute little thing about Uncle Art delivering pizza across the galaxy and stuff.
So you open the little door:
Carl is dating a vacuum cleaner.
A VACUUM CLEANER.
...
THINK ABOUT IT.
I died. Then I bought the book. I'll probably return it tomorrow for something else; it's cute, but I can live without it. I just wanted to scan this page. XD
