Delirium...
Delirium used to be a club down in Margate - on the corner of Atlantic and Washington. In fact, I think Heather's friend Theresa got kicked out of there for throwing a bottle at some girl. At least they got to meet a sexy (married, cause all the sexy ones are) Margate cop.
Anyway now the "delirium" is my life. Or as I love to tell people, I put the "fun" in dysfunctional.
Work = busy, hectic, crazy, but still fun. If I didn't enjoy my job I wouldn't want to get up in the morning. Hey sometimes my motivation SUCKS but I'm doing the best I can. I definitely need a break, maybe I'll make it to Erie to see Kristie.
For now, I'm working working working til the sun goes down, and then I think about work all the time anyway-I NEED A LIFE! Burning both ends of the candle isn't working out for me.
I met up with B for dinner on Tuesday - He's the title guy that took Karen, Ben and I to Bon Jovi. We went to Byblos at 18th and I guess it's Sansom. It's middle eastern food and it was yum. Dessert was Baklava - delicious! So then he drove me back to my car at the J-Town train station, even though he lives in/near Cherry Hill ( I get lost in Jersey!). We took the Surekill because we thought I95 would take longer but NO, there was an accident on the Surekill right by the exit for Roosevelt Blvd FUCKERS!! Anyway it was fun to hang out and eat dinner and be social. Of course my sister (the lawyer) was asking a million questions!
Last night I went to Laundre (in Buckingham) for contacts - which were really hard to get in, but I hope I get used to it. I am looking forward to buying whatever sunglasses I want. It felt weird to drive with no glasses! FYI, I switched eye doctors so no more driving to Mayfair (or parallel parking on Frankford Ave). After Laundre I stopped in at Robert P. the jewelers, because he's two doors down from Laundre. I got myself some BLING - a white gold peridot ring with diamonds. It will cost me $260 (did you know I'm rich?!) but he didn't even want a down payment. He's known my family for years (and years and years) so he knows I'll pay him. Wow I totally love this ring!! I should take a picture. I have to buy jewelry for myself since I don't have a boyfriend - depressing.
After work today (1 hour 5 minutes BITCHEZ!) I'm meeting my mom at Bloomingdales for some more shopping. AKA they are having a sale where you get 15% off your purchases if you use your Bloomie's card, and there is a Coach bag I WANT (forget need for the moment) so I am hoping Coach isn't excluded. I have to at least try...
I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend, and I will really try to relax this tme around - I think I forget how to relax and chill!
