I have a knitting dilemma. I've posted here before about the Neverending Sock:

I'm not flexible enough to get a side-view picture of it on my foot, but I've turned the heel, and it fits beautifully. It's comfortable. The yarn is soft and smooshy. I love the colors. I even like the lace pattern when it's stretched out over my foot. But I don't love knitting it. It's been on the needles for a year, and I just can't seem to make myself work on it except when I puposefully deprive myself of other projects. I want to love it, because I do adore the yarn and the colors and it's just yearning to be socks for me.
Now that I've turned the heel, I hate the thought of frogging that much work and starting over. But I think I must. This yarn needs to be socks I love, and I think I've found the
perfect pattern. (Look, Ma! Dragons!) Of course, I'll need new needles-- or to make some serious adjustments for tighter gauge.
Someone tell me I'm not insane for considering frogging an entire foot and starting over, please?
