So I return to Faith again.
Good things:
*The venue itself is quite nice. Very open, with velvet covered couches and very very dark. So dark in fact that without my glasses on I couldn't make out people sitting on the couches. The air con was very very cold, and with a full club it was much nicer inside than out. It also had a lift.
*We got a carpark directly across from the club.
Mediocre things:
*They do cocktails, and apparently are not too terrible at it.
*Ladies room was okay; clean but no soap and a shortage of bog roll.
*Ten dollars, eh? Why, when I was a lass...
*The venue is also a kareoke bar. Who knew? Lots of random Korean and Japanese kids looking confused.
Rotten things:
*The barstaff were terrible. Very nice, just utterly useless. An order for a gin and tonic got me a gin and soda, a gin and water, and a gin an the-last-dregs-from-the-tonic-bit-of-the-fountain. A gin and lemon squash got me a gin and lemonade, at which point I gave up and just had gin and lemonade. They ran out of certain tap beer (which I do not drink so can't name the brand; however there was much gnashing of teeth). Then they ran out of change and gave me handfuls of dollar coins instead of ten dollar notes. I would like to add that the club was very quite, too, so there was no excuse at all for being that woefully underprepared.
*Bitching about the music is a fine Faith tradition, but I'd going to refrian except to say: Less Presets please, guys.
Don't count on me going again. In the last six months I have been to two excellent Prometheus Bounds, one very good Hex#000000 and I am looking forward to Excom on the 4th of April. I have too little free time to waste on mediocrity.
