Squaring up to face a long short week. Lots to get done in two days on at Brella. The house is fairly put together for brunch on New Year's Day. I still need to shop and cook, but most of the cleaning and organizing is under control. I keep discovering half finished projects and things I should get to as I sift through piles of stuff. I think this next year needs to be about just finishing crap I have begun. If I just do what I have started, I'll be way ahead of the game. Daddy_guido is a nice role model here as he is finishing a long haul on school stuff. I also want to make clearing out stuff I don't need a priority this year. Wiebelstez and curious_alexa are the role models there--simple living. Five and a half years in the same house means that a lot of stuff that we "might" use or need someday has piled up. I guess the big habit to change is one that spans a few parts of my life, a tendency to start things and get stuck in the beginning research or preparation phase and never get on to the mastery or completion. So here I go. I hope to have a lot of "Ta-DA! I did it." moments to report in the next year. I think I need a finishing move like in the WWE, or an NFL touchdown dance. I think it will help me relish the completion of stuff, and besides it will be funny at the office.
