an update of sorts
I am so behind on everything! And when I say everything, I mean lj, fanfic, etc. Which is...you know...everything!
I was sick, but I'm better now. I also had this weird thing happen to me over the weekend. I was cleaning my room and I found all my old art supplies and sketchbooks and projects that I never finished. It made my heart skip a beat. I used to be in love with drawing and art etc. and then grad school took over my life and it just had to get pushed aside.
So anyway, it's like on purpose. I find all that stuff on Sunday and then on Monday I got so bored at work (which is actually weird because I use that time to read or write), but I was just not in the mood to do anything but at the same time I was restless. So - I picked up a piece of paper and with a crappy pencil I started drawing the plant in front of my desk.
The green is courtesy of some equally crappy crayons that we had lying around. I had to stop using them because they were too old and waxy. I like the effect though. And then today, I went to study at B&N and there was a guy in the table over who was drawing in his sketchbook with his tray of pencils, charcoal and erasers next to him and it just made me miss it. Of course, I had to stop trying to look over to what he was drawing cuz I didn't want to creep him out. ha.
I really need to write - why can't I just write? I love Better but I just can't seem to get into the groove of writing. Ugh. I will try my best!
