That was really lovely. That bit, where Bruce says, "He said he wished he hadn't fallen in love with me, that he would never do it again if he had the choice. And then he left. And then he was gone," was like a punch in the gut.
But you left them with a little bit of hope. And cookies! Smallville has left me with a yen for Clark and food, so I really enjoyed that, too.
Thank you for your feedback there and here as well! I'm so glad you liked it and I did try to get lots of little details in there to catch on second reading with any luck... :)
Okay, you are forgiven for ripping my heart out with your Bruce/Diana fic, because this... is beautiful. *tears up*
Wonderful chracterisation, as usual- the powerpoint thing is so *Bruce*, and Clark complaining about looking ridiculous... *falls over laughing* Wonderful nod to Birthright there.
He reached up absent-mindedly and touched the place on his chest where the ring lay underneath, continuing his lecture. Clark suddenly realized he had seen Bruce make that unconscious gesture many times now, but he had never realized what he was touching, like a talisman. Way to break my heart, Jen! I love this, it shows how much Bruce loves Kal, and how painful this must be for him. *hugs her poor hurting Bat* Although... is the ring Bruce or Kal's? And if it's Bruce's, where is Kal's? *is curious* Oooh, now I'm imagining a scene where Kal finds his ring... *demands begs and pleads politely requests a sequel
( ... )
LOL, I should have known that if I didn't end it completely happy my muses would require more! *bonks romantic muses*
For some reason I got it in my head the inscription had to be in Latin--I don't know why! And I've always loved the Song of Solomon...and that line is so simple and passionate at the same time.

*blinks* That could be a really great scene! Where would the ring have gotten to...hmmmm. Oooohhhh...
Okay, you've given me the hook. I need to finish a story for Rai's birthday and then I'm on it! :)
Glad you liked it, I really enjoyed writing it. And any time I get to continue a sequence with an amnesiac Clark is much joy for me...
