Excellent installment! I enjoyed the party scenes very much, and then both heroes going to work using their unique talents. Loved Jim saying her heard no difference in the voices!
I knew Richard and Lois had to get actually married in this universe someday now that she's started to get over Big Blue. I want them to be a happy married couple at last! Glad their appearance worked well--I'm not at my most confident writing the Metropolis contingent, so that's a relief. :)
*wibble* Oh noes, poor Bruce T_T Things were so looking up for him, with the home rebuilt and everything and the over-threshold-carrying (squee!) and the party and then all this happens. And by "this" I mean everything. *whimpers*
And oh man, Harvey, that.. that sucks. Poor guy. We all knew it would happen at SOME point and yet, like the victory over the Trojans, somehow I keep holding out hope that it won't happen, because you made me sympathize with him so much, in spite of the scary.
*nodnods* Doesn't it? Bad luck, bad luck all around. Only in Gotham, where it's canon that large vats of acid are just left bubbling merrily along. @.@
And Jim's awesome, I agree. He really usually writes himself, honestly.
Thanks for commenting at such a busy time of year!
*wibbles* My poor, poor Harvey. It had to happen, and yet... I wanted him to be saved so much. I guess that's why he's so tragic, I just can't stop having hope for him.
But it was such a happy start! Bruce getting carried over the threshold! It's so blatently a joke, but it isn't, and only Bruce could pull that off without looking silly :) He's the good kind of crazy :)
Bruce reached forward and caught Lois's hand up. "Well well," he said at the sight of the sparkling diamond, "Have you finally set a date, you crazy lovebirds?"
"Actually, yes." Lois was, improbably, blushing. "Are you two doing anything August twentieth?"
And I wasso happy to see Richard and Lois setting up a date and Lois blushing! aww! Clark feeling relieved, just glad that life is moving on, it was such a great moment :)
And then you went and killed me.. I've decided that Harvey is the biggest source of h/c in the world. Mostly because he provides such great hurt...
"He's a good man, but he's...not well, Bruce. He's not...he's not whole. Inside. He

*waves at Mina* I felt really bad writing this chapter and thinking of you!

Well, that's why he's a good Batman villain, because Batman never gives up hope on him either, right? Which might be tragic for Harvey, but is anything but for Batman and the rest of us.

Heh, I strongly suspect he looked plenty silly. But this Bruce is willing to look silly now and then for Clark. :)
but he wasn't alone, Bruce hadn't left him alone, and.. and.. poor Harv.
I'm in the middle of the next chapter, and Harvey is...very weird. Almost Zen. Like you point out, Bruce was there for him and he knows it now! That...makes a huge difference in the Harvey side of Two-Face. I...am not sure if it's working, but... *hugs half of Harvey*

He should look sillier, that's what I mean. But he has a way of pulling a dignified silly air. Or something :P Lalalaaaa.
*hugs half of Harvey*
*hugs the other half, even if it's the evil one*
he doesn't have all the power in this relationship, in fact for all intents and purposes he doesn't have any.
*gives you a shifty look*
but he doesn't have the power to keep Bruce's heart open. Only Bruce has that power
Ahh, okay. Good, good. Yeah, Clark can't do much about that, except wait for Bruce to get around his own head. Tehee! I was thanked for being fannish! weee!
And don't be silly, of course it was fun to read! not fun as in doubling over with laughter fun, but fun nontheless. I enjoy your Harvey breaking shenanigans like nobody's business. No need to apologize, ever! If I didn't like it, I simply wouldn't read it :)
But he has a way of pulling a dignified silly air.
*blinks* I like that way of putting it! He does manage to be dignifiedly silly.

Nn, wait, I overstated that, I take it back. Hurried response before class, what can I say? :) But in any relationship each person always has the power to unilaterally end the relationship--interactions can be forced, but a relationship can't. So Clark has the same power to break the relationship, but not the power to force Bruce to stay in it.
Yeah, Clark can't do much about that, except wait for Bruce to get around his own head.
He can talk, if Bruce will listen, and my Bruce would never stop listening to the point of breaking the relationship. Breaking himself, sure--but not the relationship. It means a lot to him, to put it mildly. :)
