Syncopation: Chapter Three (of Six)

Dec 14, 2006 15:58

The Dark Knight seemed disinclined to move.  "What's wrong with Dent?"

Gordon sighed.  "He's working himself too hard, and the realization that this is an inside job--he feels betrayed and angry.  He's determined to bring down this guy no matter what it costs him."  He ran a hand through his hair and looked down at his feet.  "I just hope it doesn' ( Read more... )

Harvey's deterioration is getting worse, though I don't get how Two-Face to be Harvey was able to rig the roulette table.
Can your version of Harvey even keep his sanity long enough to be splashed with acid by a defendant?

Heh, sadly, he didn't even rig it. Gotham's just that unlucky sometimes. Magic doesn't always work out well.

Um, no, actually he can't. This Harvey's a lot closer to the animated Harvey in a lot of ways, including his origin. Harv's leave of absence is going to be quite indefinite, poor guy.

Thanks for reading and commenting!

LOL, thanks! I think his grip slipped pretty completely somewhere in there. I actually believe Harvey's last words as Harvey were the "He's stronger than I am" line. :(

When Harvey Dent melts down, he doesn't--um. He doesn't...do it by halves?

Please kick me for saying that...

Thanks for reading! :)

This story is awesome because it has some comic book-style mystery and suspense! But with more sexy! Yay!

Two things that stood out:

Clark warming Bruce's coffee. Awwwwwww.

And this line from Gordon:

"Isn't this the point where you disappear while I mutter something depressing to myself?"

Hahahahaha!

Clark warming Bruce's coffee. Awwwwwww.

He feels so generally useless right now, the poor thing. But hot coffee goes a long way...

And Jim Gordon is so very self-aware, I love him for it. :) Glad you liked him too!

And eeee! Icon love!

Poor Harvey! I'm scared for him too...

And yes, Jim Gordon, king of the meta comments. If ever anyone in the DCU has suspected that he's a character in a comic book, shuffled from place to place by writers...it's him.
