Story Rec, Art Recs, and RL
magnolia_simms wrote a good S&B friendship fic about the aftermath of "The Man Who Has Everything," in which Superman talks to Batman about the vision he saw under the influence of the Black Mercy. It's a nice, reflective little piece and I like her voices (plus she has a very huggable Nightwing as a bonus). Take a look at it here and enjoy!

rai_daydreamer drew Kal in Batman's Cape from "Transformations" as well. It's rather NSFW. It's also NSFK (Not Safe For Keyboard)...you'll get drool on it.
I'm always totally awed and humbled when people are willing and able to turn a story into art. It makes it feel like the story really does exist somewhere, somehow--it's an amazingly giddy feeling. It's one of the highest honors I can imagine as a writer.
In sad news...classes have started here in Japan. I'm far from busy or stressed, and I love my work, but it's simply a few hours less in the day I can write or stay caught up on LJ stuff, so my apologies if I suddenly seem a little less...alert than usual. I got really spoiled with all my free time during summer break...*sniffle* And in something of a stroke of bad timing, the backlog of stories I've had going since mid-August has dissipated...for the first time in more than a month I'm actually not done with the next story. :-O Getting there, though...we'll see how much the beta cracks the whip at me for revisions. *grin*
