I'm crying, Jen! That was so... :sniffle: ...so amazingly, wonderfully, brillantly...sweet. How can I have the two of these guys for my very own? I didn't think it was possible for me to love their dynamic more -- but now I do.

Can I start at the end?

The EMAIL!!!! So adorable! You're on, playboy. Squee ( ... )

I'm crying, Jen!

You were obviously going through hideous S/B withdrawal then. ;-)

>>"An international porn star?"

Bruce is such a flirt! I LOVE it!

I just can't stop him! He loves tweaking Clark...um, figuratively, right now.

Oh my lord, that was priceless. It's like the S/B version of "Abbott and Costello in Love". LOL

Abbott/Costello...oh, I have to wash my brain now. But yes, that was more or less the image I had in my head.

Why is it that I'm never satisfied after reading your stories, Jen?

They're not that satisfactory? *grin* Obviously I'm the Chinese food of S/B...one is hungry 15 minutes later.

And Clark is warming up, I'm so glad for him! He has to notice the warming up, too.I love that he was just about to jump in to defent Bruce to Batman. And this Batman makes su much fun of himself and enjoys his job so much, it's adorable ( ... )

Oh, this is so much *fun* - the dance of the identities!

I love the ironies that inevitably come up when they don't know each other and am really enjoying playing around with them. I wish I could keep them in the dark forever, but that would be rather cruel. :)

Too bad it would be so hard to keep them in the dark. I have this image of Superman kissing Batman while in costume, and Bruce kissing Clark out of costume. Then, Bruce thinks he's enamoured of two different people at the same time, and Clark thinks the same. Then they find out about the secret identities and are all:

"Jerk!"

"Asshole!"

"You cheated on me!"

"You cheated on me! With me!"

"You're *so* untrustworthy!"

"So are YOU!"

"Jerk!"

"Ass!"

LOL

Well, I think (hope) I can manage it for a while. *grin* But we'll find some way to avoid the "Pina Colada Song" problem, I think. Though I do love "You cheated on me! With me!"

gotta love a fic that starts of with a line like that.

Alas, it doesn't refer to anything dirty! Yet...

Is it wrong that instead of Bruce I immediately pictured the comic page scene with Superman and Barda?

I do find it funny that Clark Kent, in one form at least, actually is potentially an international porn star. :)

Oh my God!

You are my favourite, and you've completely mastered both of them. Sorry...all four of them!

Yes yes yes yes yes!

I ADORE this!

Consider it pimped.

Sorry...all four of them!

They're really four very separate personalities at this point, it's been a lot of fun to play with them. It's tempting to have Bruce meet Superman or Clark meet Batman, but...I think part of the reason they haven't figured things out is that they keep these rigid mental boundaries, and if they start breaking them it gets harder to keep them in the dark.

Thanks for the pimpage! I'm so glad you like it...

Sometimes I just need me some good fic.

You always comply, too. Mmm. I luff your stuff.

On the other hand, it was oddly enjoyable to be doing this kind of thing with another person rather than alone. Even if the other person was largely incompetent at breaking and entering and would inevitably be more of a hindrance than a help if the situation deteriorated.

And later on

"...It's easier to get the advantage of people when they think you're incompetent, so I played that up a bit. They took me for granted..."

Oh Bruce if you only knew that Clark was playing with you too!

"You have to get out of here! What? I'm not leaving without you!"

I love this because they are both heros and their main concern is for the safety of civilians so it is kind of hilarious to have Bruce trying to get Clark to safety and Clark trying to protect Bruce.

Also Batman worried for Clark was kind of sweet and poor Clark has so much writing to do I can actually relate to his pain.

Poor Bruce is so in the dark. Of course, then Batman makes fun of Bruce and Clark's all "rawr!" so they're both getting played a lot.

Glad it's working so far! :)
