Reading Trinity--even though I'm a couple of weeks behind now--has gotten me thinking about the Tarot and who I would match with the cards of the Major Arcana. So I've gone through and listed the basic meanings of each card, with my thoughts on who goes with each one. Some seemed easy to me, others almost impossible! And some characters that I

I really like Bruce as the Magician, though, I think it suits him best. The way he changes himself and his fight for Gotham is one of eternal beginnings, for one thing, and it's as much for Gotham's physical salvation as much as it is for her soul. I think a lot of writers ignore just how arcane Gotham is or can be, and see no nuance in the fight against crime -just punching and kicking, when what Bruce does goes well beyond that -or at least it should.
After reading stinglikeabee's comment, I agree with Alan Scott's casting as Temperance! though at first I thought of Dr. Midnight.
I would cast Jason Todd as the Hanged Man along with Kyle! again, a slightly different reading -Todd's change might be more towards the 'negative' with all the crazy, but the transformation is still there.
I know it kind of doesn't fit because he's not a car, but I like Tim as the Chariot! And, for the Tower, I really like Bane. (Why, yes, I am pretty Bane-obsessed lately! he is so awesome!!)
I hope I'll catch you tonight! I had a great time yesterday, hee!

I did pause and consider Bruce there! The governmental aspects worked better with Lex, but there's definitely versions of Bruce that work really well with the Emperor and others that work with the Magician--and yes, others with the Devil or maybe even the Moon. It depends a lot on who's writing him!
Alan was one of my first choices for Temperance, but I didn't push him forward as hard in part because he's such a relatively obscure character. *hugs him*
Jason would be good as Hanged Man too! A lot depends on where he ends up in his journey, although that's kind of the point, that he doesn't seem to know which way to go right now. Hmmm. It's a card that will probably change depending on where a character is at a given moment--Kyle would have been perfect at the beginning of his career, Jason and Booster maybe more now.
Tim on his bike would work well as the Chariot, actually! I like it! And oooooooo, Bane as the Tower! Yes! You could have lightning in the background of him lifting Batman up...*bounces* Cool! I want to read more canon Bane, actually--I was so tickled to find out he's actually really reflective and erudite. Erudite thugs for the win!
