I like how you show the relationship in the little things, like Kal watching Bruce work and Alfred bringing him an extra breakfast.
Interesting letter. One question though. Is it supposed to be from Poison Ivy? Her canon first name is Pamela so I wasn't sure, though the love of plants and the last name Ivey imply that it might be.
Looking forward to the next chapter.

Pamela was implicated in aiding and abetting Crane in the last arc, so she's a fugitive now--no real names for her. :)
I enjoy writing the little details in this series--it's always fun to imagine how daily life works for these two.
Thanks so much!

I enjoyed the scene with Clark hovering in the Cave and figuring after all that suspended animation, this was nothing. Poor guy. I always thought he got a bad deal being cut off from humanity so often in the movieverse. Now he's got Bruce to make up for it! :)
And Bruce is right about Lucius: one mistake he made was underestimating Clark's beauty. ;)
Great stories about Bruce's parents, though!
And Ivy! Looks like she's back in the thick of things!
Bruce thinks that remembering people's names and their children's birthdays means nothing? It's an old politician's trick, and works well on people.
Poor Brucie! He'll never realize just why he inspires such devotion. :)
Oh, the two lovers dining in the Cave is just fun! :)

I love him for doing it just because it's the right thing to do--and really the least he can do for people who he heaps work on rather unfairly, alas. He tries very hard and doesn't seem to realize it does matter sometimes...*pats him*
Ivy's on the move again!

Which I love! If I was a DC villain, I'd be her! *hugs trees* ;)

I can't believe Ivy is hitting up Batman for money for her project even though she just thinks it's Wayne. Irony!

Hehe, that's a big relief since I haven't seen the second movie yet...

*grin* That always seems to be happening in the comic books because he's this wealthy industrialist, just the kind of person she's likely to pit herself against. The irony is always so delicious... :)
