This week at least has Tarot contemplating the Trinity, thus making her immediately more interesting to me.  :)  But the thing that really caught my attention was the conversation between Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman in the medlab.  Ignore for a moment the fact that Diana takes her top off to have her shoulder looked at--her shoulder that was ( Read more... )

Heh. No worries. When our characters are bashed, right there, in their presence, incredibly uncharacteristically for the basher in question ... it just rubs wrong. Yes indeedy, she'd better be possessed!

As for relationships, I was just trying to be fair. From an outsider's POV, she'd have a point. But as an insider, it makes no sense for her to have said it. The only excuse I see is that the conversation was heading along what looked like personal romantic lines between them, so many she was just airing old wounds while under the influence, or something? You know, that Clark picked Lois over her, as 'good marriage material', and Bruce has chosen his mission and his family over all his romances, including her? The way all those petty human emotions come out when our judgement is impaired. (I'm trying hard to excuse her, here. Maybe I shouldn't be.)

And the symbology ... argh! That just frustrates! Most of the characters have a subtle, and sometimes not so subtle, symbology inbuilt, that has grown had changed over time. To see that so clumsily reduced, and in a storyline that focuses on symbolism for crying out loud! If you're going to do something, at least make an effort to do it right, dammit! Symbols are incredibly powerful, incredibly subtle things, in the way they are used and in the way they are viewed. Or they should be. If you're not going to make an effort, just don't bloody do it at all!

*pant* Sorry. Stopping now.
