Mroooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!

*rolls around* <3!

Bweeeeeee!!! Lol, I can't voice my joy at Gotham right now! what an awesome turn, to pair fear with fear, and let mortality win as the gift it *is*. Maaaaaan! there's a reason I usually wait to comment, because I make no sense when I finish reading, but I've been such a bad ferret, not coming back to comment, that no more! no moreee!

I love this so much, yay!

Oh, you take that, Waller. She's such a royal bitch, I can't help but like her and yet... yet dislike her so very much. GO LOIS!! that bluff was kickass, too, and I'm sure Lois isn't even scared of Waller. That stuff just doesn't run in the Planet. No siree. They are hardcore.

He saw the reflected Kal-Els drop to their knees, shuddering, and wondered dimly if they dropped in response to him or if he was kneeling because they were. Cause and effect were shattered like a mirror and nothing proceeded from anything, it was all now, unchanging, perpetual, static.

I want to quote that whole fear section because the theme is wonderful and the writing is perfect. Clark's fear of infinity, so beautiful in some ways, and yet.. terrifying. And I kind of like to think that both fears, of mortality and of infinity, kind of balance each other in the end, not only Gotham turning a little less threatening, but maybe also the space? that moment that Gotham had Clark's heart and rhythm.. *sighs in delight* So very, very wonderful.

I love the theme of mortality not being a curse. It's one my favorite themes, and Gotham, oh Gotham. Gotham as entropy, you have my heart, kitten! <3! It will destroy itself, just like everyone there, and it's okay. To be terrible and beautiful. I so love your Gotham here. I think Metropolis has a bit more of a.. Spheres air? kind of? uncaring and ever growing, ever bright. Ah, cities. So lovely...

The lights of Gotham burned steadfast below him, the song a lullaby now, drowsy and content. "Always."

I love that last always. Forever and yet not, forever as long as it lasts them. So pretty. *rolls around some more* weeeeeee!!!

*dances* Dan totally gave me all of that--I was floundering at the beginning because I couldn't figure out what the point of the arc was, and he was like, "Shouldn't Gotham have a song of its own, that's different from the music of the spheres and that Kal can hear?" And...that was that. :)

And I kind of like to think that both fears, of mortality and of infinity, kind of balance each other in the end, not only Gotham turning a little less threatening, but maybe also the space?

There's definitely a feeling of balance, isn't there? At least I hope so. Maybe it will help with the space problems! It's a very good moment for Kal, although Superman still won't be mucking about in Gotham. :)

Heh, you know how I struggle with this theme! Change and death have to go together, and without change there's really no life...and yeah! That! :) You said it better than me.

I think Metropolis has a bit more of a.. Spheres air? kind of? uncaring and ever growing, ever bright.

I don't think I had really exactly thought of it that way, but it makes perfect sense, doesn't it? *tilts head* And it all ties back into the shadows and light theme as well--shadows as entropy and light as infinity, oooh. I love how themes come together without even noticing it! It's because I have fun people to share ideas with, you know...
