Scans: Half-Naked Clark from Superman 119
I'm between meetings about lawsuits today, have a painful headache, and could use some cheering up (we came back from Tokyo to find a crack all the way across our spare bedroom ceiling...the next morning there was one all the way across our living wall that was absolutely not there the day before).
You know what always cheers me up? Shirtless Clark!
These scans are from Superman 119, shortly after Final Night, in which Hal Jordan briefly extinguishes the sun. This leaves the solar-powered Superman powerless for a time, and he takes up some...unorthodox methods to try and get his powers back:
Uh, I'm...ambivalent about this image. On the one hand, it's a half-naked Superman: always a pro.
On the other hand: bulky, bulky Clark.
Also on the other hand: hairy.
I'm also rather astonished at how blase Clark is about hanging out shirtless and letting Perry ogle his mighty, mighty muscles:
Is it just me, is that writing really...clunky? "It's just so hard to find the strength!" doesn't sound much like Perry.
However, the chest constantly distracts me from the writing. Not exactly in a good way.
