you know, i am a moron. really a massive moron. when you said you posted stuff, I didn't realize it was Fuji. I should have but i didn't.
*facepalms*

btw, I LOVE THIS CHAPTER!!! I had to print it out to read it because i spent most of my day in the bank (and maaaaan did i turn more than one chinese head by laughing myself silly on a chair while waiting)

I am in love with this chapter btw. i am squee level of in love with this chapter. just thought you should know.

I loved how Bruce played him!! I figured it would be something like this but i didn't expect the merger. (of course i should have) I thought he would crash his company instead with incriminating evidence but honestly this was so so SO much better because Matsunaga got to see his worst fear come true with Asaka taking over. HAHHAHAHA a WOMAN and THAT woman taking over his company. i love it. I loved the police chief's reaction! If anyone was to catch on that this was all an act it would be him. (and hell, only in Asian countries would you get this kind of play-by-play) and i LOVED Asaka's reaction to what Bruce did. The way she dismissed him was brilliant, perfect poise, and so very Japanese. and that Bruce bowed so deeply to her, acknowledging her status and all that was between them. (*LOVE*)

The glare he gave Clark wavered into misery around the edges. "I suppose you're going to tell me I shouldn't have custody of the boy now." His voice was bleak.

i found this line really interesting. that Bruce would think Clark has the (power? right? ability to do something?) hm..right to take the boy away from him...his anger is telling in that he obviously hasn't picked up on Clark's growing attraction but ...i found this even more telling than the anger. ..i wondered if it was because Calrk was uncomfortable sharing a room with Bruce before and the baths that made Bruce assume he was a close minded bigot or maybe its just the Kansas hick mentality (which is of course a gross generalization, and more due to Kasas' love of tradition than anything else)he was assuming existed inside Clark but... i just. i cannot imagine Bruce allowing anyone to take Dick away from him without a serious fight and yet he seriously did for a moment there give Clark that power within his own mind. I found that fascinating.

He knew that Bruce would never be interested in a big blue Boy Scout from Kansas, but...knowing he could be interested...it made a difference, somehow.

I like the fact that Clark is so insecure about himself. that he doesn't see himself is anything past just that. and his hopefulness makes me look forward to what is about to come.

i loved this chapter so. will the next one be soon? *doe eyes*

I was very satisfied with that. :) And to be taken down by such a total moron as well...that had to sting. :)

I don't think he's worried Clark will try to take Dick away per se...just that he'll disapprove and say he shouldn't be raising a child. I think that would sting enough (even if Bruce has no intention of giving up custody) that he would dread it. I kind of imagine he's been worried that Clark finding out he wasn't straight would strain relations with him, just as he was starting to feel friendly and comfortable with him.

Insecure!Clark...*sighs* I can't get enough of him. (Plus there has to be some reason he doesn't just announce to Bruce, "You're hot and I'm going to kiss you now!" Although that would be fun too... :))

I'm planning on having the next one up our Monday, if possible! It should be possible unless RL goes to hell on me...
