Rec: Emergent Dreams by Trascendenza
Just wanted to mention a great story I've seen recently by
trascendenza-- "Emergent Dreams" .
It's a set of short drabble-like vignettes covering Clark's first year on earth. I'm not sure I've ever seen a fic that focuses on Clark as an infant, so it's cool for that alone. But it's also got wonderful takes on all four of his parents--very real and interesting. And Clark himself manages to manifest the woobie even as a baby! Amazing! Obviously it was his first superpower.
The story feels almost like a series of snaphots. Really lovely and evocative, and it's amazing to see someone explore what it might really be like to raise an alien baby. I'm hoping she'll write more if she's encouraged enough, la la la...
