I can't wait for the next installment, and the fact that it just dawned on me that there was thirty-six stories based on the prompt... well it doesn't count XD;;; I just can't wait to see the next one.

*coughs* I wasn't planning on actually doing 36 stories, but then when I started thinking about what I wanted to get in there it became clear that I'd have at least 20 or so, and then for symmetry's sake it seemed silly not to just make it actually match the title!
Insecure Clark is definitely a kink of mine. It's just...the mix of all that power and all that uncertainty turns me into a mass of fangirly goo. Glad you liked it!

I love the interaction between the two of them. I thought Clark was almost obnoxious in the first chapter, especially at the McDonald's, but that's probably more because I feel Bruce's frustration with people who learn Japanese as if they were born to it (I'm a big green jealousy machine). The last two chapters have definitely erased that. Clark's insecurity - and yet hopeless charisma - more than endears him to me, and hopefully soon to Bruce.
Also, this is my absolute favorite kind of story! Nice and subtle, slow, and long (er...I think I just went to a bit of a dirty place). I can't wait for the next chapter!

Early in a long series, the two do seem to switch being annoying back and forth a lot, and I do enjoy making sympathies tilt a bit. :) I'm actually kind of happy Clark was something of a jerk in the first story, because it means I managed to rein in helpless fangirling...well, for one story!

I don't know about the first two, but "slow and long" will definitely fit this series. *grin*
Thank you so much!

I really enjoyed that scene, in part because I actually could empathize with Bruce. I think it's quite reasonable to assume that most of that is an act (and of course, in older versions of Clark it truly is!), especially (as you note) because it's how Bruce approaches his persona. And honestly, I think once he makes that assumption, Bruce feels somewhat hurt that Clark won't trust him with his "real" self. So I ended up feeling sorry for Bruce, even though he isn't really aware of his own motivations either. :)

Clark going through culture shock is not something I get to write often, given that usually I see Clark as very worldly. But he's fun this way as well!
Glad you liked!
