APOCALYPSE

i'm just bored..

have you ever come to realize that mostly anything can be appreciated if you understand why it is desired by other people?
sometimes i get frustrated when a person puts down a thing that other people like; although i do it too sometimes... what they actually mean is that they don't understand how someone can appreciate a certain thing because they themselves are disgusted by it. i like to think that if they understood they would appreciate it aswell. it could also be that they have a certain phobia, almost an allergy, to that certain thing; if they ever come to encounter the horrid thing, they cringe and cannot tolerate it.
it reminds me of that myth of the natives not being able to see the pioneer ships when they first harbored in the foreign land's sea. although it's horribly unrelated and possibly not true. but basically, like the natives, people don't know how to accept it so they block it out and they never learn or bother to learn in what way it is good. except with the natives, they were forced to learn what these monstrous buildings meant...
it could be not like that at all though. it is probably more like an allergy since in most cases a person has been exposed to the certain thing before and realizes later that they don't appreciate it. they possibly had a bad experience involving the certain thing and so every time they encounter it after that bad experience the body thinks "oh shit, this thing again. i have to protect myself from it".
i am not talking about loving the certain thing, i'm just saying that i don't like people putting other people down for their interests (or a certain person) that don't interfere with anything in a bad way. can they just try to understand why it is loved by other people? of course they can, but they don't.
