Thy's New York Trip Journal

I haven't updated in a long time because I am extremely lazy, but I felt that the events of the past two days are so freaking ridiculous that I need to record them so I may one day reread and laugh. So here is the mass email I sent out:

Hey guys, before emailing this out, I decided to glance over it first. I realized that I had written these ( Read more... )

Thy, you are an awesome writer.

Were you writing all this while waiting at the airport? It takes me forever to piece together anything even remotely intelligent, but your rant feels like it can be part of an autobiography. I do think that you'll find this worth reading again in the future. Your experience must have been very vivid.

Airports suck. My experience with them is that they're never reliable. Same goes for other public transportation too though. You never know what might happen.

"Thy, you are an awesome writer."
Woohoo, I am going to save that sentence forever. You have no idea how much my ego is swelling right now, although the praise is very undeserved. My rants are always a product of the moment and never follow any grammatical rules or logic. I just wrote a lot because I had a lot of time and anger to let loose at the airport.

And yes, airports suck, but I never had that bad of an experience before. I did hear from several sources that Chicago airport is especially notorious for being unreliable.

Yay! If only you hadn't lol before writing that, hmph!
And I only added two more sentences at the beginning, "I haven't updated in a long time..."

*Gives virtual hug*

Seriously, that totally sucks. It's like a 3 day horror story without the violence.

As a person who's been on (20-30) flights. I haven't faced that bad an experience. Though I'd gladly take international airports rather than lame ass US Domestic airports.

Thanks. I think this must be a one in a life time thing. I hope. And I don't think I've ever been in a US Domestic Airport. Is the SJ airport one of those?

Thy... *bows* my goodness...

1. I agree with Teresa, you are an awesome writer... I swear when I read this... it was like watching a movie, like watching Pursuit of Happyness: thy version.
2. I feel your pain! Maybe not the exact emotions or the same experience cuz you definitely win, but its like when things go wrong and something else goes wrong all I can think is "of course... how else would it be?"
3. I'm glad you at least got a chance to be interviewed, I'm sure you did fine even tho it was probably a complete blur but usually those things turn out well :)

Hehe, speaking of Pursuit of Happyness, I was actually thinking about that movie as I was rushing around the airport, trying to decide whether I should wait for my luggage or rush to the interview as I am. I remembered that Will Smith said some really good stuff in explanation, and I was trying to recall those words and wondering if I could use them for my own situation. But in the end, I couldn't remember what he said. Oh well.
